What are you doing to future-proof your QA career in the age of AI?

The QA landscape is evolving rapidly with AI tools now able to-

  1. Generate test cases
  2. Create and maintain automation scripts
  3. Even simulate user behavior

This raises a big question for all of us-

What are you personally doing to thrive in this AI-powered future?

Let’s share honestly, not just big plans but small actions too.

Here’s what I have been doing-

  • Exploring how tools like GitHub Copilot, Testim, and ChatGPT can assist in writing and debugging tests
  • Experimenting with Playwright + AI integration for smarter locators and test flows
  • Staying updated on AI ethics and LLM limitations so I know what not to automate
  • Learning prompt engineering to use AI tools better (because garbage in = garbage out!)

I would love to hear from you:

  • Are you learning new tools or languages?
  • Using AI to help with testing tasks?
  • Building a personal project, reading books, or taking courses?
  • Or even just figuring things out step by step?

Whether you are a beginner or senior tester, your experience can help others.

Let’s turn this thread into a personal and practical resource for thriving as a QA in the age of AI.

  1. I am learning how AI tools like Copilot can assist with scripting.
  2. Will continue focusing on critical thinking and test design, things AI can’t easily replace.

I am exploring AI-driven testing tools to stay relevant. If anyone has found anything useful in this category, please suggest.
